Both the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord have been around since the 20th century. The Accord is six years older than the Camry. Its first generation was launched by Honda in 1976 as a compact hatchback with front-wheel drive and equipped with 1.6- and 1.8-liter gasoline engines with 68 and 95 horsepower, respectively.
A year later, this model began to be produced as a sedan. Since 1981, the Honda Accord was also assembled in the USA. Toyota Camry first appeared in 1982. It was then produced with hatchback and sedan bodies, and there were also 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter gasoline engines and a 2.0-liter turbodiesel. In 1986-1991, the production was already available in the U.S. and Australia.
The most popular was the fourth generation of Camry, released in 1996 - 2001. The truck had an export version with the index XV 20, and a version for the Japanese domestic market with the index V 40.

The quality of materials is on a high level. In the cabin excellent quality fabric upholstery seats and neatly made stitching seams. There are also no cracks and other various assembly errors. Only quite simple in color interior trim can cause a dispute. The inserts of yellow (like wood) steering wheel, door cards and the central tunnel are also surprising.
The torpedo is a mix of black and gray. There are no remarks to the texture. The lumbar support is slightly sluggish. The seats are rather average: not soft, but not rigid either. Quite acceptable range of height and tilt adjustment.
The flush of the central panel is classical. It is possible to allocate only a wave visor near the windshield, intended for protection of small digital clocks from glare. Air deflectors are rectangular, rather strict. The side ones are in vertical position, and the central ones are in horizontal position. Between the latter there is a button to turn on the hazard warning lights.
The central console is such as metal, light gray color, similar to aluminum. The shape of the insert is in the form of an elongated quadrangle, vertical, tapered to the bottom. The magnetizer has bezels, which are light blue in color. There is also a medium-sized monochrome screen, which is convenient for reading information. The climate control unit has a similar look, with a display and round control knobs on the sides.
The gearbox lever handle is tall, with wooden trim. The lever is next to the driver's seat. Next to the armrest, under which there is a functional recess designed for storing various things. But a lot of covers on the center console and the tunnel visually make the trim of the sedan cheaper. Next to the driver you can see the parking brake knob.
The steering wheel is multifunctional, with a normal diameter. It is easy to control and grip, has height and reach adjustments. It also contains chrome inserts. There are yellow inserts in the top of the rim.
The dashboard is classically styled, with a large speedometer. To the left is the coolant temperature gauge, and to the right is the fuel level gauge. There are yellow, white and bluish hues in the illumination of the elements and instruments.

The climate control unit is located even lower, so to speak, on the "second tier" - under the overhanging ledge of the acoustic system. The climate control is endowed with many control buttons and a joystick-sway bar. The plastic is black, diluted with inserts of chrome.
The gearbox selector lever is located on a sloping ledge. It is short, has a convenient handle, which gives the opportunity to manage in manual mode. The parking brake handle is located on the right side, next to the driver's seat. This gives even more sportiness. On the right, we see a medium-depth cupholder recess that closes.
The armrest is wide, but very deep, so it is convenient to drive only with automatic transmission, it will be more difficult for short people to switch in manual mode without tearing your hand off.
The seats are quite comfortable, with a perfectly designed profile. The seats are slightly rigid, made of quality materials. There are enough adjustments, if it is necessary to carry out sports sitting "half-lying". Even in this case the visibility is excellent.
The steering wheel is multifunctional, with three spokes and a lot of buttons, necessary to control extremely important systems of the car. The buttons are located on transverse spokes and on both sides of the conditional third spoke. The steering wheel is small, elastic, has an excellent swollen rim with a quality tightening for a reliable grip.
The dashboard is hidden behind a small visor. Tachometer and speedometer are located at driver's eye level. Temperature and fuel reserve indicators are scattered as much as possible around the edges. The scales are marked extremely modern, and the speedometer is also the basis for the onboard computer.
Interior of Honda Accord absolutely coincides with ideas. It is comfort, quality, excitement and comfort. Small defects in ergonomics do not spoil a fine picture at all.
Comparison of the Camry and Accord shows that the first variant gives more sensation of freedom and lightness, but at the same time it causes non-seriousness, which contradicts the external image of the car.
The quality of the car's finishing is presented at the highest level, as well as the thoroughness of the interior's assembly. But thus, one can feel cheapness to some extent. It is connected directly with color scale. And it becomes inadmissible for such business sedan.
