Toyota Camry S-Edition Special Edition: why it called "Pseudo-Sport"?

In the official materials, this car is presented as a "daring performance with a unique sporty design". In fact, Toyota made an attempt to take a piece of the pie from the tuning shops, releasing a factory set of unpretentious decors, which is very popular with private buyers of Camry.

The S-Edition version is based on the "medium" Elegance Safety package with a four-cylinder 2.5 engine (181 hp), heated seats and steering wheel, a media system, a rearview camera and a set of electronic assistants. Features include red bumper moldings, minor decorations and the original 18-inch wheels. There is a choice of black body paint and a two-tone version with a white bottom and black top.

Toyota Camry S-EditionThe interior has leather upholstery with red inserts, as well as red stitching on the front panel and central armrest. The sedan in the version S-Edition costs $35400, that is surcharge for a package of improvements - $2500. And two-tone coloring requires adding another $550.

Toyota Camry S-EditionIn addition, since January, all Toyota Camry and RAV4 cars have an anti-theft identifier T-Mark. It first appeared in 2018 on Lexuses. T-Mark - it is about ten thousand tags with a diameter of 1 mm, which are applied to various elements of the car and are visible only at 60x magnification. The microdots encrypt a unique PIN-code linked to the VIN-code of the car in the global database. According to the idea, the T-Mark identifier simplifies the "cleanliness" check of the car and reduces the interest of thieves to Toyota.
