Let's start with disadvantages:
Thin metal and weak paintwork, but that's not even a disadvantage of the Camry, but of most modern cars;
Ground clearance is only 155 millimeters, in conditions of European regions, it's not always enough, especially in winter;
Expensive Casco insurance and popularity with car thieves, Camry is one of the most stolen cars in Europe;
Unstable quality of assembly;
A sedan with a 150 horsepower engine can not be called dynamic, if in the city the dynamics is enough, on the highway, especially when there are 4-5 people in the cabin or at long overtaking you realize that the horsepower under the bonnet is not enough;

In my opinion, people buy Camry not for options, but for reliability and unpretentiousness.
Now about pluses of new Camry:

Ergonomics of interior, all controls in Camry are conveniently located and in habitual places. The first time you get into Camry you will not have to get used to it and search for where this or that option is activated;
The interior is spacious and there is enough space both in the front and in the back row;
Energy-consuming and comfortable suspension. Compared to the previous generations of sedan, the new Camry has got rid of bumpiness, and also the sedan has improved handling;
Galvanized body panels, metal in the sedan though thin, but has good anti-corrosive properties and resists corrosion;
No turbocharged engines and robotized gearboxes. Only time-tested and well-proven chain-driven engines with timing chain and automatic gearbox, a 2.0 liter engine, though now on a variator, but the variator is reliable and showed itself well on the RAV4;
Liquidity in the secondary market, Camry of any generation and in any condition is always easy to resell, of course, if it is sold for adequate money;

The engine resource with proper care and quality service can reach 400 thousand km.
Is Toyota Camry worth buying? The sedan has good safety, a power-hungry and solid running gear, it is corrosion resistant, and the main units are time-tested and well-proven. Therefore it is safe to buy Camry both new and in the secondary market. But the price for sedan has become, as well as for all automobiles, inadequately high now and not so long ago for this money we were buying absolutely other cars.
