The appearance of Toyota Camry 2020 is designed to displace the positions of Mazda 6, Ford Mondeo and Kia Optima, which seek to bypass its main competitor in the segment of business sedans. To achieve this, the first model, first of all, will help improved appearance and modified interior, which, as noted by a number of experts, has become less comfortable. As well as the three main competitors, after restyling the Camry has kept its previous configurations. Therefore, already in base version there are LED headlights, parking sensors, climate control system and several driver's aides. In the top versions there is an improved climate control, multimedia complex with touchscreen, multiple systems and airbags. As part of the modernization of the 2020 Toyota Camry in the new body, the manufacturer focused on improving the appearance of the business sedan. At the same time, the current version of the car, judging by the official photos, it is difficult to distinguish from its predecessor. Such an approach has led to the fact that the equipment and prices available to the former modification have remained virtually unchanged. The same can be said about the technical characteristics of the Japanese model.
Prices for the 2020 Toyota Camry start at 27860 dollars. For this money, the buyer, in addition to the 2-liter motor and automatic transmission gets:

electrically heated mirrors with electric drive and turn signal repeaters;
trip computer with 4.2-inch color screen;
push-button start motor;
multifunction steering wheel that can be adjusted in two directions;

Starting with the basic modification, the Japanese sedan comes with a rain sensor and dual-zone climate control system. The car is also offered with a standard audio system with six speakers.
For additional payment 1380 dollars the complete set Standard Plus becomes accessible which differs from base by occurrence of a full-fledged multimedia complex with 7-inch touchscreen, a back camera, two parking sensors, cruise control, electroheated windshield and a steering wheel with a leather braid. A navigation module is available with this sedan version for extra charge. And for $1,850 more the buyer will receive the same sedan, but with a 2.5-liter engine.
Technically, the 2020 Toyota Camry does not differ from its predecessor. As before, the Japanese model can be equipped with one of three "atmospheric" engines of 2, 2.5 and 3.5 liters. The first two are completed with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the last - with an 8-band. The base engine develops 150 hp of useful power and 192 N*m of torque. Together with it, the sedan consumes about 7.1 liters of fuel and accelerates to a "hundred" in 11 seconds. The second engine with 181 hp and 231 hp provides acceleration to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds and consumes 8.3 liters.
Power of the top-end motor is 249 hp. Its maximum torque does not exceed 380 N*m. Increased power leads to higher fuel consumption up to 8.7 liters, and acceleration to 100 km/h now takes 7.7 seconds.
There are no dramatic changes in the exterior of the Japanese sedan after the modernization. The car has received elongated headlights with sharpened corners and enlarged radiator grille of irregular shape, which occupies almost the entire area of the front bumper. Such a decision, as well as the presence of a thin strip of air intakes on the sides and relief facets of the hood, makes the Camry more like a Lexus sedan.
The rear of the body stands out due to the presence of a pronounced spoiler placed on the trunk lid and sufficiently large optics, which is connected by a thin strip of LED brake light. The large bumper at the stern is complemented by side-spaced exhaust pipes.
Less noticeable are the changes in the interior of the car. Inside the sedan, the original central console with a "flowing" left edge, which smoothly passes into the transmission tunnel, is preserved. There is a wide touchscreen monitor and a lot of buttons with washers and an engine start button. More than half of the transmission tunnel is under the armrest.
