- No factory protection of engine and automatic transmission; the car is low, therefore it is strongly recommended to buy and to install protection; there is even no plastic dust cover - all dirt will fly under a cowl.
Operation of electronic assistants:
adaptive cruise control: on test drive, be sure to try to adjust the preservation of distance to the car ahead of you in the stream; according to owners, the adaptive cruise is not quite adequate: you can stick behind the car, camry will slow down and accelerate itself, but after 2-3 minutes begins to release the distance up to 50-60 meters and more;
parking sensors sometimes beep for no reason and sometimes do not see obstacles;
automatic light control fails to work and does not always switch on high beam on the highway when oncoming cars pass;
The rain sensor does not always work correctly.
Noise isolation in the cabin. The plastic in the cabin can start squeaking, especially in frost - tested by the owners. Besides the general level of sound insulation is low, it is desirable to glue up the interior, arches, doors, boot etc. right after the purchase.
Overall, the Toyota Camry XV70 is certainly a successful car.
