In the fall of 2017, the world saw a brand-new Toyota Camry 2018 model year. The new premium sedan is strikingly different from the car preferred by many generations of car enthusiasts: sportiness and aggressiveness combined with subtle notes of luxury delight fans of the brand, but also make them think about the prospects. It is noteworthy that the new Camry for the U.S. market is already being discussed on the Internet, but it is clear that the new model, "geared" for Europe, will not differ from it much.
Exterior
The impact of the restyling on the exterior of the upgraded Camry is hard to overestimate. The car is even closer to perfection, retaining luxury, but acquiring aggressive and sporty features that were absent in previous generations.
The hood of the new 2018 model year Toyota Camry looks powerful and relief, which, according to the creators' idea, should improve the already good aerodynamic drag. The oversized windshield is heavily sloped toward the driver, providing him with an excellent view. The nose of the new car looks like the front end of a modern aircraft. This image is promoted by a narrow radiator grille of a bizarre stylish form in chrome, on both sides of which the elongated nice headlights with powerful LED filling are very harmoniously arranged.
The bumper of the car deserves special mention. It is not wide, but has a practical and beautiful appearance at the same time. Large air intake, narrow strips of fog lights, protrusions and rises quite harmoniously coexist in this element.
From the sides Toyota Camry 2018 began to seem more pressed to the ground, elongated, and therefore very dynamic. Fashion trends have not bypassed this model: the descending roof and strongly rounded outlines of the front and rear fenders visually very lighten the car and make it impetuous. Large doors with three-dimensional relief on most of the area, coupled with the stylish not wide side glazing only enhance this impression. It is also worth noting the remarkable light alloy rims, which significantly rejuvenate the car.
At the back, the new body has been transformed beyond recognition. There is no trace of the former angularity left. The trunk lid, reminiscent of the streamlined premium VW models, elegant LED optics and quite voluminous bumper, bearing the running lights and two exhaust pipes - all this suggests that we have a modern car of high class.

Interior
Inside the car has also undergone quite a serious, if to judge by photo, modernization. The interior of the car disproves the existing ideas about "Japanese" cars as about the cars of extremely modest design. It is restrained in an Asian way, but high-tech, which is partly due to the participation of German specialists in the development process.
Experts claim that the interior of the 2018 Toyota Camry has significantly improved the quality of finishing materials, and the interior upholstery is now no worse than on higher-class cars. Among the materials are pleasant to the touch plastic, wood and metal inserts.
Managing the Dream
The controls have been significantly redesigned. Many new elements have appeared on the dashboard. While remaining asymmetrical, it now looks more orderly. The visual center of all this diversity is the 8-inch touchscreen, around which there are many buttons and levers.

On the three-spoke steering wheel in Camry style there are about a dozen buttons and a couple of joysticks; its position in space can be adapted to the driver. Behind the steering wheel is an analog speedometer, tachometer and a rather modest for such a car onboard computer screen.
Driver and passenger accommodation

The essential characteristics of the car are defined by the use of the TNGA platform developed by Toyota engineers - it will allow to use the principle of modular architecture, which will increase the rigidity of the body and at the same time move the center of gravity, improving the handling and safety.
The updated Camry will get three engines. The cheapest version will be equipped with a 206-horsepower engine that runs on gasoline and provides combined fuel injection. It will be paired with an eight-speed automatic. It is also possible to connect the XSE option, which will be able to increase the power by 3 hp. Such a car will not consume more than 7,5 liters of fuel in the mixed mode.
The strongest 3,5-liter engine will develop little more than 300 "horses" and consume 9-10 liters of fuel. This variant interacts with the same 8-speed gearbox.
The most expensive version is the hybrid of 2,5 liters, giving out 120 hp, combined with a variator, performing in a sports mode the duties of a 6-speed "automatic device".
